To achieve a life of success one must endure the eternal fight to become better…
Physically. Mentally. Spiritually.
If you’ve read our previous blogs or follow us on social media, you may have noticed we use the above tagline quite frequently in one form or another. More than a tagline, this serves as our brand’s mantra – a guide to life that every person should strive to follow. Our mantra has a powerful underlying message and we’re eager to finally take the opportunity to reveal it.
To inspire consistent growth and improvement is TLIV’s mission, because without growth we are simply idling…
Let’s dive deep into the message behind TLIV’s mantra.
Since the dawn of man, survival has demanded a substantial level of athleticism. Over the course of evolution and technological advancement survival has become effortless and sadly our species, in turn, has become lethargic. After abandoning the hunter-gatherer lifestyle, we gradually stopped challenging our bodies. Humans have become weak and quite frankly pathetic in contrast to the physical prowess of our ancestors. No offense…
As ancient Greek philosopher Socrates once said, “no man has the right to be an amateur in the matter of physical training. It is a shame for a man to grow old without seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable.” Few quotes have ever rung so true.
In a society that has grown to justify a sedentary lifestyle, we must make the choice to be better. It is every person’s responsibility to discover the potential of their body. TLIV’s mantra instills the notion of moving back to our roots in terms of general athleticism… to endlessly test our body’s physical limits.
Are you fighting to pursue never-ending physical growth?
Our modern culture has trained our brains to operate on auto-pilot and make our rounds through the unhealthy cycle of work, eat, sleep, repeat… and in turn we’ve suppressed the concept of training our brains and seeking mental growth. Other hurdles such as comfort and fear further hinder our mental capacity for improvement.
To accept the mentality of limitless growth, we must remove our mental shackles and seize the opportunity to learn. Learning, challenging yourself, and solving problems are the path to deeper perspective and understanding.
To quote the wise Albert Einstein, “one should not pursue goals that are easily achieved. One must develop an instinct for what one can just barely achieve through one’s greatest efforts.” Do not get lost in the triviality and reward of achieving feeble goals. Rather, TLIV’s mantra aims to inspire you to make accomplishments that are challenging and valuable to your success and mental growth.
The pursuit of knowledge and mental growth should forever remain a priority.
Do not fear growth… trust growth.
Spirituality is often misinterpreted as being exclusively tied to religious belief. For us, spirituality is about nourishing the soul and bridging the mind, body and spirit into a single consciousness.
Too often, we are so caught up in the mundane practices impressed upon us by our society that we forget to dedicate time to building ourselves and feeding our souls.
A significant part of spirituality is to develop character and build yourself into someone who is held in respect and admiration. In this life, time is scarce… so practice humility, admit your mistakes, forgive others, and react positively. Take a break from materialism while learning to minimalize and appreciate the spiritual values in your life. Getting some fresh air, exploring and taking in the beauty of the world around us can be remarkably invigorating.
TLIV’s mantra strives to encourage spiritual growth by conquering our fears and taking chances. There’s no better way to expand our horizons and enrich our experiences. After all, there are few things more valuable in life than our experiences.
That’s Living is built on the foundation of pursuing boundless growth. Physically. Mentally. Spiritually. To strengthen our bodies, sharpen our minds, and elevate our spirits.
I’ll wager your daily routines entertain several actions counter-productive to your success. You can vastly enrich your life by trading out these hollow actions for activities beneficial to your physical, mental and spiritual growth. Our brand mission is to imprint upon you the mentality to endlessly seek improvement… not praise.
Everyone is alive, but not everyone is living.
